Our office is over at 169/1.D/No.2/3 in Saravana Nagar, which is part of Kvpm Village. It is a bit out of the way for some, but the local people know where to find us. We started this business because there were not many places nearby for people to save their money safely. We are just regular people from the village who work here. The office is simple, with just a few desks and some cupboards for all the files we have to keep. We don't have any flashy signs or expensive furniture. It is mostly just plain walls and some wooden chairs for the members. People stop by on their way to work or when they are out running errands. We hear a lot about the local happenings while we are processing the deposits. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit to finish the computer work, so we just talk with whoever is in the office. It is a very relaxed atmosphere. We do not use any complicated financial words that no one understands. We just explain things as they are. The floor gets a bit dirty when it rains because of the mud outside, but we just sweep it up and keep going. We are here from the morning until the late afternoon. It is a steady way to spend the day, helping our neighbors manage their small funds.
