Our office for Anguraj Chit Funds Private Limited is up on the first floor at No. 307 on Chinnasamy Naidu Road. It’s right near the Ayyappan Kovil in New Sidhapudur, which is a busy part of Coimbatore. Being on the first floor means we get a bit less noise from the street, but it’s still a lively area. We have been here for a while, dealing with the local crowd. The walk up the stairs is short, and once you get inside, it’s just a standard office with some desks and cupboards for all the files we keep. Coimbatore is a fast-moving city, but in our little corner, things move at a steady pace. We spend a lot of time writing in ledgers and talking to people who come in to pay their dues. Some days are busier than others, especially at the start of the month when everyone seems to arrive at the same time. The Ayyappan temple nearby brings in a lot of people, so there’s always something happening outside. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that hum all day. It’s a simple life here, just managing the funds and making sure everything is recorded properly. We know most of the people who come in by name. It’s more like a community spot than a cold business office. We keep the books tidy and make sure everything is sorted out for the members.
