Akhil Consultancy

Akhil Consultancy is based out of my home at number 30 Brindhavan. We are in the Uma Maheswari Nagar area, which is part of Cheran Maa Nagar. I’ve been helping people with their paperwork and local government stuff for quite a while. It’s mostly just me sitting at my desk with a computer and a lot of folders. I don't have a staff of secretaries or a waiting room with magazines. People usually call first and then come over to drop off their documents. I started doing this because I saw how confused people got with all the forms and rules. Explaining things in a way that makes sense is better than using all that big legal talk. My neighbors know me well and often stop by to ask a quick question over the fence. The area is fairly quiet, which helps when I need to concentrate on a difficult file. Sometimes I'm out at the government offices all day, so the office is closed then. Spending money on fancy advertisements isn't how I work. Most jobs come from people telling their friends that I helped them get their permits or taxes sorted. It’s a slow and steady kind of business. I like being able to work where I live. It saves on the commute and I can have tea whenever I want. A lot of time is spent on the phone waiting for someone to answer at the main office. That's the hardest part of the job really. Just waiting and checking papers.
