Our studio is at 35, Meenakshi Garden, on the 2nd Street in Thudiyalur. We are quite close to Nakshatra International School and right opposite Vg Hospital on Mtp Road. It’s a decent neighborhood, not too loud but busy enough. Abhijitbanik Creativestudio is basically where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s a private limited company on paper, but inside it feels more like a shared house where we happen to work. We have desks pushed together and lots of sketches and notes pinned up everywhere. We didn't spend much on fancy furniture; we just got what was comfortable. Some of us have been working together for a long time, so we know how to stay out of each other's way. The walk to Gnanambika Mills post office is short, which is handy for mail. We don't have a big corporate culture here. We wear what we want and sometimes there’s music playing, sometimes it’s dead silent. We get our coffee from the little shop down the road. Sometimes the projects get stressful and we stay late, but mostly we try to keep regular hours. It’s a creative space, but that just means it’s often messy with half-finished ideas. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make things that look decent. It’s a local business and we like the people around here. The parking is a bit tight on the street, but we make do with what we have.
