We are located over at 33, Pattalamman Kavil Street-3 in Peelamedu. A Blue Hill Granites (India) Pvt. Ltd. is where we handle a lot of stone work. The yard is usually full of slabs and the air smells like cut rock most days. It’s heavy work, and we all have rough hands from moving the granite around. We aren't a big flashy company; we just have our office and the storage space here in the street. The machines make a lot of noise when they’re running, so it’s hard to hear the phone sometimes. People come to us when they need stone for their houses or buildings. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of the blocks coming in. Sometimes a batch isn't right and we have to send it back, which is a headache. The office is small and usually has a few people sitting around talking about measurements and schedules. It’s pretty dusty work, so don’t wear your best clothes if you come by. We’ve been in Peelamedu for a while now and most of the locals know the sound of our trucks. It’s a steady business, nothing too exciting, just cutting and moving stone day after day. We try to keep things organized, but when a big shipment arrives, the whole place looks a bit chaotic for a while. That’s just how it goes with moving granite slabs.
