A. B. Exports

You can find A. B. Exports out on Ayyampalayam Road in the Kulikadu area. Our address is No. 1/1276-b in Palavanjipalayam, which is part of Tiruppur. This area is famous for its textiles, and we are just one of the many small units doing our part. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside we stay quite busy with the export orders. We deal with a lot of packing and sorting throughout the day. The trucks come in and out of the yard, picking up boxes destined for different places. We have a small office tucked in the front where we keep the ledgers and the phone. Most of the space is used for storage and quality checks. It gets quite dusty with all the cotton around, but that’s just life in a garment town. We have a handful of workers who have been with us for years. We know each other's families and often share lunch. The work is steady, though it gets frantic when a shipping deadline is close. We don't do anything fancy here, just practical work to make sure the garments are ready to go. There’s no big corporate structure. It’s just us making sure the counts are right and the boxes are taped up solid before they leave. We just keep it moving every day.
