Sri Arjun Tarpaulin Industries

Our workshop is tucked away at B-I, Jains Maple Manor on Appasamy Layout, right across from Nirmala College in Coimbatore. Sri Arjun Tarpaulin Industries is where we spend our hours cutting and stitching heavy-duty fabric. The constant thud-thud of the sewing machines is the main sound you hear in the afternoon. We mostly make covers for trucks, shops, and local farms. It is honest work that leaves your hands feeling rough by the end of the day. Being in the Red Fields area means it is usually quite lively with college students nearby. Inside the building, piles of green and blue tarps are stacked against the walls, waiting to be shipped out. We aren't a massive factory; instead, we are a place where people pay close attention to seams and grommets. Starting small, we just kept at it year after year. The fabric can be hard to handle because of the weight, but that is just part of the trade. No one here is a marketing expert. People find us when they need something that will actually keep the rain out of their goods. We are just local folks making something useful for other working people. It is simple and functional work that keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. There is always a new batch of material to cut and more stitching to finish before we close.
