Vijay Clinic

We are located in the village of Malik Sharp, which is out near the Banipura post office in the Sherpur Tehsil area. Being out here in the village means things are a lot different than they are in the big cities. It is much quieter for one thing, though you do hear the tractors and the animals nearby. The clinic itself is a basic room that we have set up to see people from the local community. Many of our visitors are farmers or families who have lived in Sherpur for a long time. The walk from the main part of the village isn't very long, but the roads can get pretty dusty during the dry season. We have a few wooden benches for people to sit on while they wait. We don't have any of those high-tech machines you see in the city hospitals, but we have what we need to take care of the basic stuff. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts, so we keep a few torches handy just in case. It gets a bit cold in the winter months, so we wrap up well. People usually just walk in without an appointment and wait their turn. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it works for us and the people living here in Malik Sharp. We like being part of the village life and helping our neighbors when they are not feeling well.
