Raman Polytechnic College

Down here in Shri Dungargarh, Bikaner, we have Raman Polytechnic College. It's a place for students who want to learn technical stuff. Rajasthan gets really hot, so the building is built to stay a bit cooler, though it doesn't always work. We've got different workshops and rooms where people sit and study. It's practical work mostly. A lot of the young men and women from nearby villages come here. They arrive on bikes or take the local transport. Bikaner 331803 is where we're at. The campus isn't huge but it fits everyone. We deal with machines and wires and all that. Sometimes the equipment is a bit old, but we make it work. It’s a quiet life in Shri Dungargarh mostly, except when the students are changing classes. We don’t do big speeches or fancy events. Just day-to-day teaching. Most of us have lived here our whole lives. We know the families. If someone's late, we usually know why—usually something with the farm or a flat tire. The college is just a part of the town. We have a small staff room where we drink chai and talk about the weather or the exam schedules. It’s honest work. Raman Polytechnic College has been around for a bit and we just keep going. People know the address and they know where to find us when they need to enroll. It's nothing fancy, just a solid place to learn a trade.
