Jay Green City Masala Kendra

Our place is Jay Green City Masala Kendra. We are located in Bhadi, which is part of the Bhadra area. If you're looking for us, we're right near the Balaji Temple. It's a nice landmark to have nearby. We spend our days dealing with spices. Grinding, mixing, and packing—that's what happens here. It’s a local operation, mostly serving the people around here. The smell of the spices is very strong, especially when we are doing chilies. It makes everyone sneeze sometimes. We like being near the temple because it’s a calm area. We aren't a big corporation with fancy logos. Just a small kendra where we work hard. My family helps out quite a bit. It’s a way to make a living and we’ve been doing it for some time. We don’t use any big words to describe what we do. We just make masala. The machines are loud, but we are used to it. People from the village stop in quite often. We know most of our customers by name. It’s a simple way of doing business. We just try to get the work done right. Sometimes we run out of certain ingredients if the supply truck is late, but we make do. The shop is small and a bit cramped with all the sacks of raw spices, but it’s our space. We keep things moving and stay busy until the evening comes and it is time to close up.
