Anil General Store

Anil General Store is right in Ward No. 16 on Satyun Road in the village of Taranagar. We are located very close to the Naya Bus Stand, which is lucky because people are always coming and going from there. The store is packed with all sorts of things people might need in their daily lives. We spend the whole day behind the counter, talking to neighbors and helping travelers who are passing through. Taranagar is a close-knit community, so we know most of the people who walk through the door by their first name. The shelves are always full of soaps, snacks, and household items. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we get a big delivery and have to find space for everything on the racks. We don't have a computer system or anything like that; we just write things down in a ledger. The bus stand nearby means it gets really busy during certain times of the day when the buses arrive. We hear the drivers shouting and the engines idling while we work. It’s a dusty place because of all the traffic, so we are always wiping down the glass jars and cardboard boxes. We open early and stay open until late at night. There isn't much time for breaks, but that’s just the nature of a general store. Anil General Store is just a local shop run by local people. We do our best to have what people are looking for and keep the place running smoothly.
