In Ratangarh, you’ll find our place on Gaytri School Road. We are situated right near the Ajitsaria Well, which is how most people give directions around here. This is Ward No- 34, a part of town that feels a bit more relaxed than the bigger cities. At Akums Drugs & Pharmaceutical Limited, we operate out of a building that is mostly used for storing and moving our products. It’s a very practical space. We don't have any receptionists or waiting rooms. Usually, you’ll find us in the back among the stacks of boxes. The floors are concrete and the walls are just plain, which suits the work we do. During the rainy season, the road outside can get a bit muddy, but we just put down some extra mats and carry on. The school nearby means it gets very loud and busy for a few minutes in the morning and afternoon, but otherwise, it's fairly quiet. We spend a lot of time checking expiration dates and making sure the inventory matches our ledgers. It’s a lot of manual work, and we all pitch in when a truck arrives to be unloaded. We don't have any fancy posters or corporate slogans on the walls. It’s just a place where we work hard and try to get things right. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps for a break and watch the people going by the well. It’s a steady, honest kind of job and we’ve been doing it this way for years.
