Tongluang Publication Inc. is out on Convention Road, specifically in Dorcas Veng, New Lamka. We’re a bit of a way out in Churachandpur, but we like the location. It’s a place where we can actually get some work done without too much distraction. Most of what we do involves getting local voices into print. We have a small team here, and everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s editing text or carrying bundles of books to the van. The road outside can get a bit muddy when it rains, which makes deliveries a bit of a challenge sometimes. No big corporate office with glass walls here. Our space is more about utility, with heavy tables and plenty of storage for paper. Keeping things organized is the goal, but when we’re in the middle of a big run, the whole place feels like it’s humming. People from the community often stop by just to see what’s new or to talk about a project they have in mind. We don't have any fancy reception area, so visitors usually just walk straight into where the work is happening. It’s a simple setup, and we prefer it that way because it keeps us connected to the people we’re making books for. There's usually a pot of tea going in the back for whoever needs a break.
