Kangelipak Handloom Producer Companylimited is run out of a house in Moirang. Specifically, we are at Mrs. Oinam Sanatombi Devi's place, right near the Ithai Bazar. If you know the area in Bishnupur, it is a pretty recognizable spot. Being in the Moirang sub-division means we are close to the local markets, which is where a lot of the activity happens. The house is often filled with the sound of looms and people talking. We have weavers from around the village who come in to drop off their work or pick up more yarn. It is not a corporate setup by any means. It feels more like a community gathering most days. There are piles of hand-woven cloth sitting on the wooden benches, and the smell of dyed thread is always in the air.
