Ashok Paints H2Ouse

Ashok Paints H2Ouse is out in a village in the Mirzapur district. We are right on the Main Road, and you can usually find us because we are near the local Mandir. The shop is filled with cans of paint and all the things you need to fix up a house. It smells like fresh paint most of the time, which is something we have just gotten used to over the years. We spend a lot of our day helping people pick out colors or showing them which brushes work best for their walls. Since we are near the temple, we see a lot of people passing by on their way to pray. It is a good location because everyone knows where the Mandir is. Our shop is not very large, so we have to stack the paint cans high up towards the ceiling. Sometimes it is a bit of a struggle to get the one at the bottom, but we manage. We do not have a computer system to track everything; we mostly just write things down in a big ledger. It is how we have always done it. We know the local families and what their houses look like. It is a quiet life for the most part, except for when there is a festival at the temple. We just enjoy being the place people come to when they want to brighten up their homes in this part of Mirzapur.
