We’re based out of Gangpa House, at Plot No. 03, right near the Housing Colony in Phunstoglings. It’s a quiet enough spot, which is good when we’re planning things out. We call ourselves Mountain Intelligence Treks. Basically, we spend our time thinking about the trails and the hills. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls; it’s just a house where we keep our gear and maps. We’ve got boots, tents, and ropes lying around more often than not. Most of us grew up around these mountains, so we know them pretty well. People find us when they want to go out and see the landscape without getting lost. We aren’t trying to sell you a dream, just a solid trip. The weather dictates a lot of what we do. If it’s snowing, we’re inside checking the stoves and sleeping bags. When the sun is out, we’re rarely at the house at all. It’s a small operation, just a few of us who really like being outdoors. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the address in the colony. You walk in, we have some tea, and we talk about where you want to go. It’s a simple way to run things. We focus on the practical side of trekking because that’s what actually matters when you’re out there in the cold and the wind.
