Matkan Auto Motors

Matkan Auto Motors is situated in the middle of Lal Bazar. We are quite close to the Lala Kundanlal Dharamshala, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. The market here is always crowded, and there’s a lot of noise from the street, but that’s just life in this part of town. Our shop is mostly filled with parts and tools, so there isn't much room for sitting around. We spend most of our time on our feet, dealing with whatever comes through the door. It’s a dusty job sometimes, and our hands are rarely clean by the end of the shift. We started out small and stayed that way because it’s easier to manage things when you know every corner of the shop. There is a small tea stall just a few doors down where we get our morning chai. The owner there knows us well. We don't use any fancy computer systems to track every little thing; a lot of it is just kept in notebooks or remembered. It might seem a bit old-fashioned to some people, but it works fine for what we do. The rain can be a problem in Lal Bazar since the water pools up on the road right outside our step, but we just put out the boards and keep going. It’s just a regular local business trying to stay busy and keep the lights on every month. We don't ask for much more than that.
