Thewa Art Runwal Jewellers

We are based at A-1 in the Burani Complex, which is right in Sadar Bazar. If you are near Mahal Darwaja, you are pretty much there. Our shop is where we do our jewelry work, specifically focusing on Thewa art. It’s a specific kind of work that takes a lot of patience and a steady hand. The Burani Complex is a busy spot, so there’s always something happening around us. Our space is modest. We have our benches set up where the light is best. We don’t have a lot of room for extra stuff, so everything in the shop has a purpose. We’ve been in Sadar Bazar for a while now, and we’ve gotten to know the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a tight community. We don’t put on airs or pretend to be more than a local jewelry spot. The work we do is slow and detailed. Sometimes a single piece takes days of sitting in the same chair. We don’t mind it, though. It’s what we know how to do. If you come by, you’ll see we’re just regular people working. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just this one shop near the gate. We keep it simple and focus on the craft at hand. That’s enough for us. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is sitting on the bench that day. It’s a good trade.
