We are located over in the RIICO industrial area at Ajoliya Ka Kheda, which is a bit of a drive out from the main Chittorgarh town center. Our specific spot is F-199. It’s mostly big warehouses and noisy factories around here, so it gets pretty loud during the working day. At Shree Charbhujanathexim Private Limited, we mostly handle the export side of the stone business. There is so much raw material coming out of the ground in this part of Rajasthan, and someone has to be responsible for getting it to the right buyers in other places. We spend a lot of our time checking the quality of the slabs and making sure the wooden crates are packed tight so nothing breaks during transit. It gets very dusty in the yard, especially when the afternoon wind picks up and blows through the gates. We have a small crew here and we’ve all been working together for quite some time now. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do every day. We just buy, check, and ship. Sometimes the paperwork for the customs officials is a real headache, but that’s just a part of the export job. We usually sit and have tea together in the late afternoon and talk about what needs to be loaded onto the trucks by the end of the week. It’s a very straightforward business.
