Rama & Compony

Our shop, Rama & Compony, is located right on Station Road in Chittorgarh, so we hear the trains whistling all day and night. The name on the board has that bit of a spelling mistake where "Company" is written as "Compony," but we never really bothered to change it since everyone knows who we are anyway. Being near the station means there’s always a crowd outside, people rushing to catch their trains or coming into town for the first time. The building is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it serves its purpose for our daily trade. We don't really have a big staff or a corporate office; it’s mostly just us handling things as they come. We sit behind the main counter and deal with whoever walks through the door, whether it’s a regular or someone just passing through. The floor is concrete and stays a bit cool in the summer, which is nice when the Chittorgarh heat gets bad. We’ve been on this road for years and have seen shops around us change owners, but we’ve stayed put. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, mostly keeping records in our ledgers and talking to people about what they need. There’s no special story here, just a lot of hours spent watching the traffic go by on Station Road.
