Lotus

Lotus is just a small shop located at Number 8 in Indra Market. We are right on Bhilwara Road, so there is always a lot of movement outside our door. It’s a typical market setting where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We have been here for a good while and we like the location because it’s easy for people to stop by while they are out doing their other shopping. The space inside is a bit cramped because we try to keep a lot of items on hand. We don't really have a specialty, we just stock what people in the area seem to need the most. It is just me and a couple of helpers most days. We spend a lot of time chatting with the neighbors and the people who walk in off the street. It’s not a fancy place by any means. The shelves are a bit old and the floor has some cracks but it feels like home to us. We don't bother with big sales pitches or trying to convince people of anything. If we have what you want, we sell it to you at the usual price. That is how we have always done things. Bhilwara Road can get really congested in the afternoons so we usually see a lot of people just popping in to escape the heat or the noise for a minute. We don't mind at all. It’s just how things are at Indra Market. Sometimes we run out of things but we get more in as fast as we can.
