Laalji Devkaran & Co. (India)

We are located at Devkaran Niwas, up on the first floor. It’s right on Samuel Street. Laalji Devkaran & Co. (India) has been around for a while, and we’ve stayed in this same spot. Samuel Street is always packed with people and goods, so there’s never a dull moment. Our office is a bit old-fashioned. We have high ceilings and lots of old ledgers and files. We don’t really go in for the modern, minimalist look. We like things the way they’ve always been. It’s a family-style environment here. We aren't interested in sounding like a big corporation because we aren't one. We just handle our business, talk to our suppliers, and keep things moving. Being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, which is nice when things get hectic downstairs. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just work hard and try to be fair with everyone. Most of our clients have been with us for years, and we know them well. We aren't trying to expand into some giant empire. We just want to do our daily work and keep the tradition of the company alive. It’s a simple life on Samuel Street, but it keeps us busy and we wouldn't have it any other way. We keep some plants by the window and the tea pot is always full. It's just home to us. We’ll be here as long as the street is.
