Kala Kendra

Kala Kendra is located at No-12 on the Neemuch Bypass Road. We are near Moti Mandir, right by the Jawad Darwaja in Shri Ram Colony, Nimbahera. Being near the bypass means there is a lot of dust and the sound of big trucks passing by at all hours. We’ve got a spot that feels a bit removed from the main town center, but it’s still busy in its own way. Our space is filled with various items and there is usually a thin layer of dust on the windows from the road outside. We spend our time managing the day-to-day things that come with running a place like this in Nimbahera. We aren't a polished gallery or a corporate office. It’s more of a practical building where things happen. We know the people in Shri Ram Colony and often chat with neighbors who are walking toward the temple. The sun can be quite harsh on this side of the road, so we keep the shutters halfway down in the afternoons to stay cool. Inside, it’s a bit cluttered with supplies and old furniture. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing person. It’s just us here, keeping the place open and doing what needs to be done. Sometimes the internet is slow or the water delivery is late, but we just manage it. It’s a quiet life for the most part, despite the trucks on the bypass. We’ve been here long enough that the address feels like home.
