Hindustan Zinc Limited-Vedanata

You can find us at Quarter Number 32, Type-IV, in the Telecom Colony within Kumbha Nagar, Chittorgarh. It is a residential-style setup that we use for our office work. Being in a colony means it is a bit more relaxed than a downtown office building. We have neighbors who are living their lives all around us, hanging out laundry or washing their cars, while we are inside working on zinc production logs and various staff schedules. The building is a standard government-style quarter, sturdy and familiar. We have got a few desks pushed together and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. It might not look like a global business hub, but we handle a lot of important work for Hindustan Zinc-Vedanta from these rooms. The walk from the main gate of Kumbha Nagar is pleasant enough, with a few trees along the path. We do not really have office hours in the strict sense; if there is work to be done, someone is usually here. We do not bother with fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear what is comfortable for the Rajasthan heat and get on with the day. Most of us live nearby, so we can walk or bike to work easily. It is a very local way of doing things, and it suits the way we operate. We do not need much else besides a working computer and a good ceiling fan to keep us going.
