Hindustan Zinc Limited

Room SF01 in the Engineers' Hostel is where we operate from. It is part of the Zinc Colony in Chittorgarh. Like most places around here, it is closely tied to the work done at Hindustan Zinc Limited. The room is functional. We have the usual furniture and the typical look of a company-provided hostel room. It isn’t meant to be impressive, just a place to stay and work. The colony itself is quite large, and there is a sense of community because everyone is here for the same job. You walk down the halls and see people you’ve known for years. The Rajasthan sun can be brutal, so the room is our retreat during the hottest parts of the afternoon. We handle our daily business right from here. It might seem small to some, but it works for us. We don’t need a big flashy office to do what we do. There’s a lot of routine involved, from the morning tea to the late-night paperwork. Sometimes the fans are noisy or the windows rattle when the wind picks up, but that is just life in Chittorgarh. We’re just regular people trying to do a good job while living in the company quarters. It’s a plain, honest way of getting through the work week without any unnecessary complications or corporate talk. We just take things as they come and keep the room organized for the next day.
