Hindustan Zinc Limited

We are located at B 205 in Zinc Nagar, which is right in the heart of Chittorgarh. Being in a place called Zinc Nagar makes sense for us, considering what we do. It’s a busy community and we are right in the middle of it. The apartment style of the office makes it feel a bit more like a home than a cold workplace. We have a small balcony where we go to catch a breath of air when the office gets stuffy. Most of our time is spent looking at numbers and schedules for the mining and processing stuff. It isn’t glamorous work. It’s mostly sitting at desks and making sure the trucks are moving where they should be. We have some old wooden chairs that are surprisingly comfortable once you get used to them. The tea man comes by twice a day and that’s usually the highlight of our afternoon. We don’t have a lot of visitors, but when we do, we just pull up a spare stool. Chittorgarh is a hot place in the summer, so our old air conditioner works overtime. It makes a loud humming sound that we have all learned to ignore. We just keep our heads down and get through the tasks. There isn't any big corporate mystery here. We are just a group of people doing our part for Hindustan Zinc Limited from this little unit in Rajasthan.
