This Grasim office is located at E-32/2 in Adityapuram, which is part of the Aditya Cement setup in Shambhupura. Being in the Chittorgarh district, we are right in the heart of the industrial zone. The office is tucked away in the township area, so it is surrounded by a lot of trees that the company planted years ago. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, so we mostly stick to ourselves out here. The air usually has a bit of that dry, dusty smell that comes with being near a cement plant. Our workspace is quite plain. We have got some metal cupboards for our documents and a few desks that have been here for a long time. There is no fancy lighting or modern art on the walls. Most of the people working here live in the same colony, so we often walk to work. It is a small group of us, and we have all been working together for a while now. We handle the local logistics and the daily reports. Sometimes the trucks passing by on the main road make the windows rattle a bit, but you get used to it. We take our breaks together and talk about the weather or local news. It is a very grounded, no-nonsense kind of place. We just focus on getting our tasks finished and keeping the operations steady.
