Eklavya Kids

We are located at 42/43/44 in Nehru Nagar, which is a pretty big space when you think about it. Having three plots joined together gives the children at Eklavya Kids plenty of room to move around. Chittorgarh is a place with a lot of history, but our day-to-day is much more about the present. Every morning starts with the sound of gates opening and parents dropping off their toddlers. The classrooms are filled with drawings taped to the walls, some of them a bit crooked. We do not try to look like a perfect catalog picture. Things get misplaced, crayons end up on the floor, and there is always a jacket left behind at the end of the day. Our staff is mostly local people who live nearby in Nehru Nagar or the surrounding areas. We know most of the families by name because we see them every single day. The building is sturdy and does the job. We have a small play area where the kids spend a lot of their time when the weather is not too harsh. It is not a complicated setup. We just provide a place where kids can be themselves while their parents are busy. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when there is a birthday or a small celebration. It feels like a big family most of the time. We have been at this address for years and it has become home for us.
