Sri Supermarket

Sri Supermarket is at 34, Shankar Naidu Colony in Tiruchanoor. It isn't a massive store like the ones you see in the big malls. We are more of a local neighborhood shop. We have shelves filled with all the basic things like rice, pulses, oils, and soaps. The aisles are a bit narrow, so it can be a squeeze when two people are trying to pass each other with baskets. We try to keep everything organized, but things often get moved around by the customers. The floor is white tile, and we have to mop it a few times a day because of the dust coming in from the colony road. I spend most of my time behind the small billing counter or restacking the milk packets in the fridge. We know most of the people who come in by their first names because they live just a few houses away. It is a long day, starting early and staying open until late in the evening. The overhead lights are quite bright, and the fridge hums loudly in the back. We don't have any big sales or loud advertisements. People just come here because it is convenient and we have what they need for their kitchens. It is a busy little spot in Tiruchanoor where the work never really stops until we pull the shutters down at night. We just try to keep the shelves stocked well.
