Our place is at 7/5/154 on Konka Street in Tirupati. If you know the 517501 area, you know it can get quite hot and the streets get narrow and busy very fast. At Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Medical Distributor, we are usually surrounded by stacks of boxes filled with different medical supplies. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things from the delivery trucks into the storage areas and then back out again when orders come in. The street outside is always full of people and scooters zipping by. We have a small counter near the front where we handle the paperwork and talk to the people who stop by. The ceiling fan spins all day long but it barely makes a dent in the heat during the summer months. We keep a lot of water bottles around for that reason. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the shelves, but we know where everything is kept. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor; it’s mostly just white walls and metal racks. The rhythm of the day is mostly dictated by when the transporters arrive. Sometimes they are late and we end up staying a bit longer than we planned. It’s just the nature of the distribution business here on Konka Street, and we are used to the hustle.
