Shiva Ice Cream Parlour

Shiva Ice Cream Parlour is tucked away at 9/75 in D V Nagar. We are very close to the Raamaalayam Temple, so we get a lot of people coming in after they finish their prayers. It’s a peaceful neighborhood for the most part. The shop is small, and we’ve decorated it with some simple posters and a calendar on the wall. I’ve been running this place for a few years now. Most of our business happens in the late afternoon when the sun starts to go down. The temple bells ring in the evening, and that’s usually my signal that the rush is about to start. We keep a few different flavors in the freezer, nothing too crazy, just what the local families like. Sometimes the fridge makes a weird humming sound, but it still works fine. I sit on a small stool near the entrance when it’s quiet and watch the people go by. It’s a humble setup. We don’t do any advertising. People just know we are here because they live in D V Nagar or they see us when they go to the temple. It’s a steady life. We don’t aim to be the biggest, just to stay open and keep things running smoothly for the neighbors. Sometimes we stay open a bit later if the weather is especially warm or if there is a festival going on.
