Sankari Bags is right here on Tirumala By Pass Road. We've been at Shop No: 6 for a while now, just a few doors down from the Hidden Bar and close to the Leela Mahal Junction. It gets pretty busy outside with all the traffic passing by toward the hills, but inside we just focus on the bags. We started this because there was a need for sturdy things to carry stuff in around town. Most days it’s just us handling the stock and talking to people who drop in. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives and we have to stack things up wherever they fit. We don’t have any fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just a regular shop with bags hanging on the walls and piled on the counters. We try to keep things organized but sometimes life gets in the way. People know where to find us if they need a zipper fixed or a new strap. The sun hits the front of the shop pretty hard in the afternoons, so we usually keep the shutter halfway down to stay cool. It’s not a big operation, just a local spot where we do our work and hope the bags hold up for whoever buys them. We’ve seen the junction change a lot over the years, but we’re still here in the same corner. It’s a simple life, really. We just come in, open up, and see who needs what.
