If you ever find yourself on the Main Road in Rayalacheruvu, you’ll likely pass our place at number 6-28. S A S Minerals isn’t hard to spot, especially with the trucks parked out front. This part of the country gets incredibly hot, and our warehouse feels like an oven sometimes, but we are used to it by now. We deal in various minerals that come from the local mines and quarries. It’s gritty, physical work. We spend a lot of time checking the size of stones and making sure the bags aren't torn. There isn't any fancy tech here, just scales and a few old desks for the paperwork. We started out small and stayed that way on purpose because it’s easier to manage things ourselves. My cousin helps with the accounts, and we have a few local guys who do the loading. We see the same truck drivers every week, and we usually share some water or tea while they wait for the paperwork. The road outside is always busy with people going to and from the village. We don't have a big sign or any bright lights. We just do our work, deal with the dust, and go home to our families in the evening. It’s a simple life, and the business reflects that.
