Garden Delight

Garden Delight is located right near the Sonalika Tractor Showroom on Ctm Road in Madanapalle. It’s a dusty stretch of road in the Chittur district and you can always hear the sound of the traffic going by. We spend a lot of time outside dealing with the plants and the soil or whatever else needs doing that day. The sun in Madanapalle can be really strong so we are usually wearing hats and trying to find a bit of shade when we can. It’s a very physical job where you’re always moving things around or checking on the inventory. We aren't a big corporation with fancy uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable for working in the dirt and getting things done. There is always something to water or a customer asking about what grows best in this heat. The showroom next door is a good landmark because everyone knows where the tractors are. We have a small shed where we keep our tools and take our lunches when it gets too hot to stay out in the open. It’s a basic life and the work is never really finished because there is always something new to plant or move. We just keep at it day after day and try to keep the place looking decent despite the dust from the road. It’s just us working hard under the Andhra sun and making sure things stay alive while the trucks rumble past.
