Muppari Travels

Muppari Travels is situated on the Tirumala Bypass Road, right near the Leela Mahal Complex. It’s a very busy part of Tirupati. There are always buses and cars zooming past our door. We set up here because it is convenient for travelers who are heading towards the temple or leaving the city. The office is pretty basic. We have a desk, some phones, and a map on the wall that's seen better days. We mostly focus on providing cars for hire. Our drivers are mostly local guys who have been driving these roads since they were young. We don't use any fancy software to track things, just a big ledger where we write down the dates and times. Sometimes it gets hectic when there is a festival and everyone wants a car at the same time. We try our best to keep up. We don't make big promises, we just tell people what cars are available and what the price will be. The area around Leela Mahal is always full of life, so there’s never a dull moment. We spend a lot of time making sure the car interiors are tidy and the tires are pumped up. It’s hard work sometimes, but we’ve been doing it long enough that we know the rhythm of the city. We aren't a big chain, just a local spot on the bypass road. We try to keep the coffee pot full for the drivers between trips. It’s a living.
