Our office for Maa Agnigangama Farmers Producer Company Limited is tucked away in Kumbhikota. We are located in Ward Number 05, right on Plot No. 249, which is Reli Mandangi’s place. If you are looking for us in Punjapai, it is not too hard to find if you ask around the neighborhood. We are not some big city operation with glass windows and air conditioning in every room. It is just a regular building where we get together to manage the farming collective. Most of the people involved here are locals who have been working the soil for their whole lives. We started this because we wanted a way to organize things better for the growers in our area. Every morning, someone opens up the doors and we start going through the day's tasks. It might be checking on seeds or talking about how the weather is affecting the local crops. We do not have any slick brochures or people in suits walking around. It is mostly just dirt on our boots and some tea on the table while we figure out the logistics for the month. We try to be helpful to anyone who walks in the door looking for advice or a way to get their produce to market. It is a lot of work and sometimes it feels like we are learning as we go, but we are all in this together and that is what makes it worth doing.
