Ismail Eye Clinic Bsc Optomerist

Our place is on Tilak Road, and most people know it as the Ismail Optical Centre. We are at number 118. It’s a combined setup where we have the eye clinic and the shop with all the frames. When you walk in, you’ll see the glass cases filled with glasses and the big chart on the wall with the letters getting smaller. The optometrist has their desk in the back room where it’s a bit darker for the eye exams. Tilak Road is quite busy, so there’s a lot of foot traffic. We spend a lot of time helping people pick out frames that don't slide off their noses. Sometimes the lenses take a few days to come back from the lab, so there’s a lot of calling people to let them know their glasses are ready. The mirrors on the walls are always getting fingerprints on them, so we’re constantly wiping them down. We have some stools for customers to sit on and a small desk for the paperwork. It’s a practical little shop. We don’t do anything too fancy with the display. It’s just about getting the right strength for people so they can see better. We’ve been at this spot for a while, and the neighbors are all familiar faces. It’s a steady job, looking at eyes and fixing frames all day. We just try to make sure everyone leaves seeing a bit clearer.
