Our group is called Gurramkonda Farmers Producer Company Limited. We are situated in Gurramkonda village and mandal. The address is linked to the home of Mr. Neelagutta Chengalrayudu's family. We are just local farmers who wanted to join up. Farming is what we’ve always done here. It’s not a complicated story. We saw that we could do better if we worked as one unit instead of everyone doing their own thing separately. We don't have a big office with air conditioning. It’s a very local, grassroots kind of thing. Most of our days are spent checking on the crops or talking to other farmers in the village. We handle the business side of things as simply as we can. There are no corporate strategies here. We just look at what needs doing today and we do it. The village of Gurramkonda is where we belong. Our families have been here for generations. Being a producer company just helps us stay organized with the government and the markets. It’s a lot of work and sometimes it gets messy, but that’s just how farming life is. We don't make big claims about being the best. We are just working to keep things moving for everyone in our group. Our neighbors know where to find us if they need anything.
