Glovill Foundation

Started Glovill Foundation right here at 4-17 in T.R. Kandrigavadamalapet because there was a lot of talk about helping out but not much action. It’s just us, a few folks from the neighborhood trying to make things a bit easier for everyone. We spend most of our time out on the streets or in the back room here, figuring out who needs what. It’s not a big fancy operation, mostly just sorting through donated clothes or seeing if we can get some food to the families down the road who are struggling this month. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, especially when the rain hits the lane, but we keep the doors open anyway. We’ve lived here a long time, so we know most people by name. It’s funny how a small place like this ends up being a hub for so many different stories. We don’t have much in the way of funding, just what comes in from people we know or the odd bit of change. It’s enough to keep the lights on and help a few kids with their school books or whatever else pops up. If you walk past house 4-17, you’ll probably see us sitting out front or moving boxes around. It’s just daily life for us, trying to do a bit of good where we can without making too much of a fuss. The neighborhood keeps us busy and that's perfectly fine with us for now.
