Dhananjay Provision Shop

We run a small provision shop in Thiruchanur, right near the NRI School. It’s the kind of place where you can find a bit of everything, from soap to snacks and cooking oil. We open early so parents can grab things on their way to drop the kids off at school in the mornings. The shop isn't very big, so we have to stack things high on the shelves to make it all fit inside. It’s often a bit cramped when three or four people are in here at once, but that’s just how it is. We’ve lived in Thiruchanur for years, and we know most of our customers by their first names. Sometimes people just stop by to chat for a few minutes while they pick up their daily groceries. It’s a simple life, standing behind the counter and helping people find what they need. We don't have a fancy checkout system; we just use a calculator and a notepad. The neighborhood is quiet except for when school starts or lets out in the afternoon. We try to keep the basic staples in stock so nobody has to go all the way into the city for small things. The floor is concrete and we sweep it out every evening after we close up the shutters. It’s just a local shop for local people. We aren't trying to compete with the big supermarkets. We just want to be here for the folks in this part of Thiruchanur when they run out of items.
