As & Co.

Our place is right near the main bus stop in Palmaner, at D.No. 28-515/3. You really can’t miss us if you are standing there waiting for a ride to come along. As & Co. has been in this exact spot for a long time now. It is a bit of a dusty area because of the buses constantly pulling in and out, but it brings a lot of people by our door. Sometimes folks just walk in to get out of the hot sun for a few minutes while they wait for the Punganuru bus. We don't mind that at all. We sell a little bit of everything that people around here might need in a hurry. The shop is not very big, so we have shelves lining the walls all the way up to the ceiling. I have to use an old wooden ladder to reach the stuff on the top, and my knees definitely don't like doing that as much as they used to. We try to keep things as simple as possible. There is a small wooden desk in the corner where I keep the accounts in a paper ledger. We don't use computers here because they just get filled with dust and stop working. My nephew comes to help out on the weekends when it gets busy. It is a loud spot with all the horns and people yelling, but it feels good to be where the action is.
