Our office is located in Kailash Nagar, right on the Chittaurgarh Road in Nimbahera. We’re pretty easy to find because we’re near the Nakoda Petrol Pump. It’s a dusty stretch of road with a lot of heavy traffic moving between the cities. You get used to the sound of the trucks shifting gears as they pass by. Our building is a simple one, nothing that stands out too much from the rest of the neighborhood. We spend a lot of our time inside, away from the sun, managing the logistics of the cement loads. There’s always a lot of paperwork to deal with, and the phone rings more than we’d like sometimes. It’s a busy spot, and there’s always someone stopping in to ask directions or check on a delivery. We keep a cooler of water in the corner for the drivers because it gets incredibly hot out there on the asphalt. We don’t have a big mission statement or any of that stuff. We just try to get the orders out on time and keep the records straight. Some days the dust gets into everything, and we spend half the morning just wiping down the desks. It’s just a regular part of working near the highway. We’ve been here for a while and we’re just part of the local landscape now. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We just get the work done.
