We are located in Chitradurga, a place most people know for the big stone fort. Our shop is where we handle both watches and mobile phones. It’s a bit of an odd mix, maybe, but people always need their time kept and their phones fixed. We have those old-style glass counters where we keep the wristwatches. Then on the other side, we have the smartphone cases and chargers. It’s a small shop in a busy part of town. Most days are filled with people coming in because their screen cracked or their watch battery died. We use small tools and magnifying glasses quite a bit. It’s quiet work in a way, but there’s always someone coming in to chat. Chitradurga gets quite hot, so we usually have the fan going full speed. The walls have some posters of the latest phones, but otherwise, it’s a very simple setup. We don’t have a big staff, just us behind the counter. Sometimes we spend hours trying to fix a tiny gear in an old watch that someone’s grandfather owned. It’s nice to see things working again. We’ve been here in Chitradurga for a long time. People know us as the place to go when their gadgets act up. We don’t do anything flashy, just sit here and work on whatever comes across the counter. It’s a steady life and we like the local community here. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day after day.
