Royal English School

Royal English School is tucked away at the Vijaypura Last Cross in Chikmagalur, 577101. We are right behind the Vokaligara Sangah, which is a big landmark that most people use to find us. Chikmagalur is known for its cool weather and coffee hills, and you can definitely feel that fresh air here at the school most days. Our building isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit in enough classrooms for the local children who come here. The floors are made of simple tile, and we have to sweep them often because of the dirt the kids bring in from the playground during their breaks. It’s a quiet neighborhood for the most part, away from the main market noise. We don't have a big fancy office for the headmaster; it’s just a small room with a wooden table and some old chairs for visitors. The school bell is a manual one that someone has to ring by hand every hour to let everyone know it's time for the next lesson. We have a few trees around the yard that give some shade when the sun is out in the middle of the day. It’s a very local operation, run by people who live right here in the town. We don’t spend much time on polished speeches or trying to look professional; we just get on with the business of teaching the students their daily work. It’s a humble place.
