Nandish General Store

Our shop is at 6-35 in Kalasapura. It’s right in the middle of Payagondanahalli. Most people just stop by when they are passing through. We carry everything from matches to snacks. It’s a small building, but it holds a lot. My family has been running this for a few years now. We know everyone by name. It’s a quiet area mostly. The cows walk past in the morning. We open early so the farmers can get what they need before heading out. Sometimes the shelves look a bit messy because we just put things where they fit. We don't have fancy displays. It’s just a general store. If you need a recharge for your phone or a packet of biscuits, we have that. The floor is concrete and we have a couple of wooden benches outside where people sit and talk sometimes. It’s not a big business. We just try to keep the things people ask for the most. Sometimes the power goes out and we use candles. That's just how it is here. Payagondanahalli is a small place, so we all know each other's business. We keep the store open through the afternoon heat, even when it’s slow. There isn't much else to say. It’s just Nandish General Store, a spot to pick up your daily bits and pieces without having to go all the way into the main town.
