We are located on Daasara Street in the Chickmagalore district. It’s a traditional kind of area, and our shop fits right in with the others on the street. Being in Chickmagalore, we are surrounded by a lot of greenery and hills, but the street itself is quite busy with local trade. Our building is an older one, and it has that distinct look of the local architecture here. Inside, the space is packed with whatever we are trading at the moment. We don’t have much room for walking around, as we try to use every bit of space for storage. The atmosphere is very informal. People drop by just to say hello or to check on prices, and we usually have a stool or a bench for them to sit on for a bit. We don't use any fancy marketing or have a website that we keep updated. Most of our business comes from people we’ve known for decades. It’s a very local operation, and we like it that way. The weather here is usually nice, so we keep the front open to let the air in. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when deliveries arrive all at once and we have to scramble to get everything organized, but we manage. It’s just a typical small-town business where everyone knows everyone else, and we are just happy to be a part of the community here.
