Manas Farming Foundation

The Manas Farming Foundation is tucked away in Amguri Colony, over in Ward Number 3 of Bijni, Chirang. You can find us at Rajiv Gwra Basumatary’s place. Since we’re a farming foundation, most of our time isn't actually spent inside the office anyway. We’re usually out looking at crops or talking to other growers in the colony. Our home base is just a simple spot where we keep our tools and some paperwork. Rajiv is the one who keeps things organized, though it can get a bit chaotic when planting season starts. We aren't a big agricultural corporation. We’re just local farmers and people who care about the land here in Chirang. We share tips on what’s growing well and try to help each other out when the weather doesn't cooperate. There's always dirt on our boots and a lot of talk about soil and rain. We don't use big words or complicated theories. It’s all about what works in the field. If you come by, you might find us sitting under the shade of a tree out back instead of at a desk. We like to keep things natural and straightforward. It’s just a group of us trying to make sure the farming life in Bijni stays strong and sustainable for the families living here. We just take it one harvest at a time and see how things go.
