Bodoland Organic Exports Llp is run out of James Brahma’s place in Dotma. Specifically, we are at Dotma Pt-II in the Kokrajhar district. The whole idea here is focused on organic stuff from our region. We think there is a lot of good produce in Assam that people elsewhere might want, so we help export it. It is a slow process because organic certification and all that paperwork takes forever, but we just chip away at it every week. James has been around here a long time and knows the land well. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It is more of a community effort where we talk to the local farmers and see what they have ready for the season. The office is just a small room where we keep the records and handle the shipping details. Sometimes it’s hard to get everything coordinated, especially when the roads in Kokrajhar are bad during the rains, but we make do. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the state, just a reliable one that helps local organic goods find a market. It’s quiet work, and we like it that way. We don't have any big slogans or anything, just a desire to see local products get sold for a fair price. It’s just how we operate day to day in Dotma.
