Chirala Engineer College Chirala

Out here on Ramapuram Beach Road, things are a bit different than the main town. Chirala Engineer College sits where you can feel the sea breeze most days. It is a big place with lots of buildings spread out. We see students walking back and forth between classes all the time. Some look tired from their exams and others are just hanging out by the gates. The road outside can get a bit sandy because of the beach being so close. We have been here for quite some time now, watching different groups of students come and go. The classrooms have high ceilings to keep things cool, but it still gets hot in the afternoons. Our labs are full of equipment that gets used every single day. You can hear the hum of machines and the sound of people talking about their projects. It is a lot of work keeping a place this size running. The groundskeepers are always busy with the plants and the buildings need constant painting because of the salty air. We have a cafeteria where everyone gathers for lunch. It gets pretty loud in there during the break. Living and working near the beach means things move at a slightly different pace, even with all the studying going on. We are just a bunch of people trying to keep this college going for the folks around Chirala. It is not always perfect, but it is our place.
