We are based in Shreekshetra Dervan. It’s a bit of a different setting for a hospital, being where it is. The place is quite large and covers a lot of ground. We have a lot of different wings for various medical needs. It isn't just one building, but more like a whole complex. People travel from all over the surrounding villages to come here because there aren't many other options nearby. The staff lives locally for the most part. Every morning the place comes alive with the sound of people arriving. We have a lot of green space around us, which is nice compared to the crowded city hospitals. The work is constant. We have doctors and nurses moving between the wards all day long. It’s a serious place, but we try to keep things grounded. We don't have much time for fluff or fancy talk. We just focus on the patients in the beds and the people waiting in the halls. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with the number of people who need help, but we do what we can. It’s a significant part of Dervan and has been for a long time. We just keep the operations running and try to make sure things go as smoothly as possible for everyone who arrives. Even when things get hectic, the atmosphere here stays somewhat calm because of the open spaces around the buildings.
